I am also using the 2.5-3" Revhard downpipe. To keep things simple and clean Tony welded my Flare in after the Donwpipe starts to run back to the exhaust. You can do it right after the compressor, we just chose to work off the orignal bends, to keep from having to make that same bend again. Also i didn't want to completey hack at my Revhard because then i would have spent $150 on a 5 bolt flange, and a 6" bend.
