Need Opinions on Mani: Tuner Toys...
So I posted here last time for some H-T input and suggestions and was happy with everyone's response so I thought I'd give it another go with a new product. As you may know (or not) I'm working on my new build and wanted a much nicer than log manifold, but Full-RaPe is out of my price range and I acutally stumbled upon TunerToys once again sporting their own ram-horns. These things look pretty solid and at almost half the price its seems like a steal. Now my old garage built log cracked to high heaven and I was leary with spending this much and it cracking, but check it out I saw they have a 1 year REPLACEMENT policy and then 4 years of additional REPAIR! Now before I go and snatch this up I'd thought I'd trust you guys again (as you've steered me right so far) and see what you think and if you would run this mani.

Re: Need Opinions on Mani: Tuner Toys... (r6samson)
I've been doing business with Craig (Tuner Toys) for a number of years now. Craig only sells stuff he believes in. There are alot of products that are easy to believe in (the high end products), but Craig shoots for very good products at reasonable prices. That's the definition of value, and that's his goal.
Of my two businesses, I've never dealt with a more honest guy, who does the right thing at ALL times. That alone should make anyone feel comfortable buying whatever he decides is a good enough product for him to offer. |
+1
good products, stand up guy. |
Thanks guys, but let's talk manifolds here. I think this is comparable to Full-RaPe and the warranty seems like a :thumb up: to me.... How's everyone else feeling about it?

Yeah, you're right, different seller completely. These guys make commonly used budget-boost rods for the D's. They have a good rep. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif |

Tuner Toys has NO DOWNTIME!! all the manifolds they sell are IN STOCK! no waiting for fabrication or not being sure how long it will be until you get it. Tuner Toys has by far the best customer service of any company i have purchased from. they may not be the cheapest source for manifolds, but their service is unmatched https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif |
will a/c or p/s work with any of them ?
|
Re: (ryan89crx)
yea AFI has ps and ac compatible manifolds.
i dont know if they keep them in stock tho, like i said- pm turbojesse and talk to him and youll see how their customer service is. doesnt sound like the op is too concerned with downtime but i think AFIs turnaround is like 2-4 weeks, if that and im pretty sure they do stock their manifolds. youll also notice that they only have a 1 year warranty and then a 4 year warranty, AFI manifolds are lifetime and also, the TT mani only comes with the 35\38mm wastegate option. im not saying that TT isnt good, im just saying that i would go AFI- especially for the same price.. |
Re: (zeimbo)
hrmm .. if you guys pay attention .. its the same manifold https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emwink.gif

Re: (Snafubmx234)
where exactly am i talking out of my ass?
|
Re: (project dc2)
I have yet to see AFI have a cheaper price, too. http://images.honda-tech.com/set1//smile/emcrook.gif Not to mention you have to wait for them to build them and I tried to check them out and there site isn't even up.
TT seems like a safer deal to me. Who all has bought with success before from them? JP |

JP</TD></TR></TABLE> I haqve purchased other parts from TT and they get a https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif from me. In stock is a big factor for alot of people, and they guarantee that so https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif |
Re: (Autoworks)
TT is a distributor for AFI products. Look at the damn manifolds. There are some clear signs. Look at both of their locations, which is another giveaway.

Re: (Boostedvti)
i still want to know where im talking out of my ass.. you wanna talk shit, at least have something to back it up with..
oh and btw, turbojesse quoted me $600 shipped for a lifetime warranty "equal length" ramhorn with the 44mm wastegate option which was like $15-$25 more i believe. also, afi uses 316ss rather than 304 which resists heat cycling a little better.. do what you want, i think you made your decision before you made this thread |
wait are they the same manifold or not ? just to be clear ?
