need input on camming and porting a turbo ls (8-10 psi)
is this going to be a worthwile thing for me to do??? i want to do it soon and if anyone runs aftermarket b18b/a cams tell me about the gains and feel...i need more top end and i need to know if doing this is going to make me happier. also...do i really need cam gears if i change my cams????

wouldnt pistons/rods cost about the same amount? then u could run more boost and probably make even more power.. unless u r on stock fuel system where u shouldnt be boosting 10psi anyways

i was looking for a bolt on thing to do in dec while i'm on break...i guess i could do the pistons and rods thing....oh wait....i don't have a good fuel solution. it peaks at 10 but holds 7-8 psi. sorry bout that...i sure wouldn't want to bust my motor up. still need input from others

As of yet, I dont have boost. But I did my own exhaust port by myself at home. I noticed more torque on the butt dyno at mid to high RPM. Also took 2 1/10's off my ET at the track. Heres a quick pic.....
Took all of 2 hours with an electric drill and metal shaving arbor bit whatchamacallit.
As with cams, and cam gears. All that I hear is that came overlap can take away power and most people stay with stock cams.
