Default Need help trying to rebuild my APEXI turbo

OK well I'm pretty frusterated. I bought someones apexi turbo mani and DP. The fins are pretty damn chewed up and I want to have the turbo rebuilt. It is a IHI AX53B60 P18 (Apexi turbo kit for the SOHC). I took it to the local IHI distributor and they said they could not do anything becuase it was apexi's stuff and they have no idea what parts are used or how to get them.

Im guessing Apexi is going to try to to dick me over and make me get another turbo instead of being able to get the parts to rebuild mine.

Anyone know anyone in Apexi or someone that has a shop the distributes Apexi stuff that I can talk to and try to get this turbo rebuilt. I just dropped alot of money into this setup and now its looking as if it is not going to happen.

yes.... thats the point of it.

you have some options...
You could get a new turbo

you could upgrade to a any turbo with a t25 flang (greddy 15g or 18G or t28)

looks like he only needs a new blade and to get it rebalanced though.

you've got a few options actually.

you COULD see if it's possible to simply "clip" the blades though this is outdated and will slow spool.

OR, simply measure the inner diameter and outer diameter to find out exactly what wheel you have and get on like it. I cant believe your IHI dealer couldn't think of this....

I suggest giving majestic turbo or another custom turbo /rebuilder company like that a call....

Im goign to try to call them, although the previous owner said he called them and all they said was buy another turbo for ~800 bucks.

I will not buy this turbo again for 800 when i get get a disco for 1 grand.

stackz: I will try calling those places if I can find a number for them.

The local IHI dist. does more work with big trucks and not much work with IHI. Im going to try to call a couple people tomorrow and see what I can find out. Thanks again for your alls help.
