I've got a built h22 at low CR and am only planning on boosting 8 lbs for now... it ran ok w/ 440's on the VAF-C hac. I decided to upgrade to the hondata engine management and 550's. W/ the honda it was cutting out at about 5k at full throttle and i think its because the injectors were hitting max load. (?) not sure if these injectors were saturated or peak and hold. i was thinking of going w/ saturated 750's or 850's just because i am planning on boosting more lbs in the future. of course i will have a 3 bar map sensor and a boost controller for this.

is this too big for 8lbs? am i going to have to lean them out too much? should i go with 750cc? or 850cc? well thanks to everyone in advance. any help will be appreciated.

Tell us how much power you want, and we'll tell you how much injector you need.

If the car is shitting out at 5k it's because of the tuning. There's no way you are maxing out a 550cc injector at 5k on 8psi... unless you are running excessively low fuel pressure.

i do have a stock fuel rail and stock fpr. i figured i needed to upgrade these but i wasnt sure... well what do u recommend is aem ok for both?

i read it... im only lookin to run 8lbs for now so how ever much an average hp line for an h22 at 8.5:1 CR w. 8 lbs w/ the hondata makes is. im not lookin to get insane amounts just something conservative... so if u have any info for me from the question from the previous reply i'd appreciate it... also w/ my set up on 550's how much fuel psi do i need to run? and how much power have u seen that make? thanks again in advance..

Just throw in 550cc's and run 44-46psi of static fuel pressure. That should be adequate to get you up to 325-350whp with no problems as far a maxing out the duty cycle is concerned.

hey man thanks alot... ill def be lookin into getting that extra fuel management stuff... would u say the aem rail and fpr are ok? i have not ever heard any bad things about them but was not too sure... also i believe the 550's i have are dsm upgrades... u know if these are peak and hold or saturated? well once again thanks in advance...

much props on the drag ek in your gallery... what motor u got in it? what model is it? cx or dx? that thing is sick...

The AEM set-up is fine. I use them on a lot of customers cars that I do and have not had a problem with them yet. The DSM's are usually peak and hold, so you'll need a resistor box. If you have a 4th gen you are fine, if you have a 5th gen you'll need to add one in.

Thanks for the props. My built turbo h23a set-up is going in there. The old set-up put out 450whp... the new one should be mid 5's. I'm just shooting for mid 10's on the quarter but it's being prepped so if I dip into the 9's then I won't get booted off of the track, lol. The rest of the cage just got in, that means I gotta yank the dash back out.
