need help. gt40r w/ coolant pouring out of dp
ok i just got my engine together and was doing some pre tunning tweeks to the ems and i notice a slight coolant smell while the engine was running so i got out to look and i didnt see any leaks from any of the hoses but saw a lot of air in the turbo's coolant feed line (i also noticed that this hose had no coolant in it before i started it today) i just figured since these lines are the highest point of the coolant system it would just take a little bit to bleed the air out but it got worse (more air). any way i soon noticed a river of coolant flowing between my feet and looked under the car and it is dripping out of the dp just short of a full stream.
now this is a brand new (although i bought it 9 months ago) garrett gt4094r that hasnt seen more than 3k rpm from the engine. i did remove the compressor and turbine housings to smooth out the casting flashing inside them but i havent touched the CHRA. can someone help me out and tell me how the coolant is getting out of the turbo (how is it sealed) and is this somthing i can fix

Re: need help. gt40r w/ coolant pouring out of dp (a1320addict)
i taped in between the im and the iacv so it flows in from the im/head and out to the iacv. i ran clear reinforced hoses for the lines so that i could see the flow and after i shut it off the hose that flows into the turbo will empty after a while but the return hose still has coolant in it???? sounds kinda odd to me that one side will drain and not the other. also i was under the impression that the water jacket on the turbo was just a cast opening around the bearing section and that it was sealed, am i wrong are there replaceable seals for the water jacket?
as to removing the water lines. i want to use them, they are there for a reason and removing them doesnt fix the problem.
there are no external leaks, no coolant anywhere but the end of the dp and it looks like exaust gas is geting into the water lines cuz they look cloudy, and luckily i dont see any signs of wetnes in the compressor or charge pipe. what the hell is going on??? ive searched and dont see anyone who has had this problem???

There is air getting in somewhere. You said there was a little smell (little air), then it started pouring out. Obviously, more air was taken in, then forcing the coolant out. You have a leak somewhere. Was this a new turbo?
