Default Need help determining oil line sizes etc.

Can someone explain to me what all these things mean like 10AN hose, -6AN, 1/8" NPT, 8 AN O-ring. I am going to buy the GE sandwhich plate adapter, but no idea what fitting sizes I need. I tried to look this up but can't seem to find the explanation. Ty

the bigger the an number the larger the hose

NPT = stands for national pipe thread

the size "you need" varies but most likey will be using a -3an for your feed and you could get an adaptor to go from the 1/8" npt to a -3an line

its amazing what happens when you type things into google

AN is actually #/16's of AN inch. 3AN is 3/16". the reason for the name though is AN fittings are a specific style of fitting unique in shape and connection method.

NPT is explained in the comment above, but it is a tapered pipe thread. it is NOT a bolt thread, and using bolts in NPT threads, or NPT fittings in bolt threads WILL damage both sides.

agreed HE just needs a 1/8 npt to 3an adaptor (or whatever size he needs for his turbo) I have a golden eagle sandwich as well, My setup requires a -4an tho (uncommon) in the honda world

No problem the name gets thrown around alot, some people dont understand that it references a style of fitting, my search was "an sizes" or something like that.

Pretty sure you will need a -3an line with at least (1) 1/8th npt (male) to -3an (male) adapter, most likely 2 of those depending on what your turbo calls for, just let us kno if u need more help
