Need help coming up with an idea for a water tank
Ok, here's the deal. I had an accident a few weeks ago. It wasn't too bad but it tore up my front end and destroyed my water tank. This tank was used to cool my intercooler. What I need to do is find something that I can use as a tank. It needs to hold at least a gallon of water and be leakproof. I also need to be able to remove a top so that I can fit my pump into it and also route my hoses into it and fit it between my passenger wheel and the front bumper cover.
The tank before looked like this:
It can be a plastic tank but I need to be able to remove the top and fit two hoses into it. One from the pump to the intercooler and one back into the tank.
This is where the intercooler sits:
This is what the pump looks like:
This pump is maybe 5 inches in diameter by maybe 5 inches tall. It isn't that big but it needs to fit into the tank.
You can get an idea of what I need by these pics so any suggestions are welcome.

do you have a heat exchanger for the the water to be cooled?....
im doing my air to water set up myself also...
im planning on using a pump ouside gravity fed but still self priming.. im just over securing thing LOL....but the "best" thing i can think of really is... to relocate your battery in the back and use that area for your resevoir and you can have it the same size of the batter.. and tie it down just like the batter would sit there cool huh .. they sure did a shitting job on the new civic battery placement i feel you tho i have a 02 SI and mine is on the back of the driverside headlight LOL

Well, the problem is still finding a tank or reservoir to hold the water, besides I don't really want to relocate the battery. Thanks though.

Go to the Fisher Scientific Webs site and look at all their Nalgene products. They have quite a selections. Widemouth (which is what your'e looking for), cylindrical, square, and different types of plastics and sizes.

Here's my car's setup. I just swapped the 4 pass cooler for a MUCH bigger 6 pass cooler from perma-cool... The box is custom made with a waterneck, and a radiator cap up behind the headlight. I think I was charged $100 for the box before plumbing parts.

Something like that would work but I have no idea where to find someone in my area who could and would fab something like that for only 100.
