ive got a lsvtec turdbo S200 hondata and it wont boost over 3lbs. In first gear
it will get into vtec 5,2k RPM untill 3lbs and then it cuts out. in 2nd gear it wont go passed 4k RPM's motor shuts off and check engine light flashes. but my boost cut off is 10lbs i cant figure out **** has this happened to anybody else

i had the same thing that happened to me in my car. then we figure out that it was all caused by a clogged cat.

well my downpipe just dumps it doesnt go to the cat, do you think its the wastegate would that cause this

List your setup.

Is the Hondata tuned? Are you running a fuel pump?

might just be the vtec solenoid limiting your revs cause of lack of oil.
or could be just a bad ecu.
what code are you getting?

have u check to see what code it is? it might be ur O2 senor

the check engine light doesn't stay on it just does a quick flash and then goes away

do you know how to read ecu codes? what code is it. a long flash is 10 a quick flash is 1 add it up.

and yes just as this guy stated one quick flash is your primary 02 sensor. did you make sure your using your primary old 02 sensor and not the one coming from the cat? and ensure you have enough oil for vtec to engage.

naw i was told since my boost cut off is 10lbs it will make your check engine light flash and the motor will die and then you take your foot off the gas and accelerate agian and thats what its doing

yeah and i know how to check codes but it does this any way cause you know you have to bridge that plug to read the codes. the plugs not bridged or anything

Damn itr cams, and moderately high compression pistons, are you getting detonation ? what about the cams? You getting blow by, with the itr cams valve overlap?

sounds like the map sensor is seeing boost and then shutting the car down.

make sure the hondata is tuned and set right for boost, and double check the connections to the map sensor.

it looks like your air filter is choking the turbo, ever try running the car without the air filter off?

Look at your hondata and see if the red light is blinking. It blinks pretty slow so look at it for a while. The same thing happened to me, but mine woudln't even let me hit .1 bar. If the lights blinking your hondata needs serviced. But even its not then I dunno it might still. Also check your wires and makes sure none connecting to ur ecu or hondata are loose. That was my problem. Yours could be the same or something internally wrong with the hondata. Hope this helps a little

ive tried the oil pressure for the vtec solenoid
and i changed O2 sensors
im going ot datalog it tomm. and hopefully that will tell me something
i dont have datalog on my hondata box so im using Allens from honda heaven
if i did i probably wouldnt have this damn problem

boost could it be because my pistons b16a1. i have RC 750's and holley 255
so **** i dunno anybody have a clue

what is your a/f at high boost, are you using cold plugs like 8 or 9 seriers ngk's. and on what kinda fuel? Whats the timing on high boost?

im using the ngk cold plugs have no idea on the series 8 or 9
and i have a cheap *** autometer air/fuel but it stays rich the whole time
and my timing is 16 degrees any suggestions and the kinda fuel its just 93 oct,
