I have my stock 00' ITR block at the machine shop now to be bored out to 84.5mm to use a set of Ross 9.1 pistons. Would boring the block to 84.5mm be safe to boost?

If not I have a set of 81.5mm piston to use.

if its not sleeved, you are asking for problems. stick with 81.5 max bore on stock sleeves. otherwise. get some sleeves installed.. Golden Eagle gets my vote

Dave, thanks for the reply, Sleeves is out of the budget this year. I'm goign to have them bore and hone it to 81.5mm then. I was having second thought on the 84.5mm myself.

I wouldn't trust your machine shop. He should have told you that 84.5 on stock sleeves isn't possible.

I asked them to doing it for me, just b/c I had the piston just sitting there. I just calle dthem and told them to scrap the idea of 84.5. I would just use them in a B20 or sell them.
