Default Need DETAILED electrical schematics (stupid electrical...)

Anybody know where I can find some very detailed electrical schematics for a '99 GS-R online? I've got a situation with the GS-R where my instrument lights won't work. I replaced the fuse a dozen times while tracking the problem and I've isolated it to 1 wire which must be shorting somewhere, the problem is this wire runs behind the dash and I'm trying to avoid having to rip out my dash at ALL COSTS!!

Anybody?

I have the 99-01 teg helms manual in pdf right here in front of me at work. Do you think it is in there?

hehehe. yeah. the helms is THE factory service manual with info from HONDA in it, sold by helms.

now the bad news. there is an electrical supplement which is separate from the helms manual that has the detail he might need. however, the regular service manual does show a logical representation of all wires and where they go and what color they are, but it can be a real bitch to figure out which wire that is when you're crammed up looking under the dash.

I have all that but I can not extract the pages I need. It is password protected. I am working on cracking that right now.

My advice, spend the 55 bucks and buy the Acura service manual for your car. Out of all the things I have bought this is by far my best investment

you can also go to autozone or some automotive parts store and buy the chilton book for your car, there only like 15 and they have all the wiring and all that stuff.

Thanks yea I have the $15 book, but that's more a a quick reference.. what I need is a hardcore schematic giving me the location of every single wire.

Luckily I was able to single out the wire cauing the problem to begin with, problem is now I'm driving at night with no gauge lights and is SUCKS!

I have no idea. It goes hot when you turn the light switch on. I cut the wire in 2, tested on half with the switch on and got nothing, dead. Tested the other end of the wire and it was pulling 43 amps!!

Same thing happened in my hatch! It was for the dash lights, i couldn't drive at night for 3 weeks trying to figure out that crap! I ended up haveing to pull the dash cause the wire was in the dash area, it had gotten worn at a l section near the heater area, it fused w/ another wire and shorted! I feel your pain, I ended up in the long run haveing to make my own new wiring for that specific relay!
