Need detailed answers on cooling system please!
Hey.
Nothing but concerns after hooking in my water cooled turbo yesterday.
I have it running in series with the small 5/8" line that originally hooked from the passenger side of the intake manifold into the top of the thermostat housing.
1) Does anyone know if that line is ok to use? Does it only allow flow if the thermostat is open? My engine temp gauge goes up much higher than it had before especially if I turn on my A/C. I can get the temp to go down if I turn on my heater (puts out much more heat than before).
2) Is it normal for your cooling system to get so hot by using it to water cool your turbo?
thanks for the help.

That line should be fine. Turbos build quite a bit of heat in the combustion chamber and in the turbo itself. It will expose any weakness in your cooling system. Make sure it is working properly.
