Need Assistance: 94 B18B1 turbo w/ TPS problem
I've searched and searched, found a few threads with similar issues that never actually concluded giving me an answer.
94 Civic Coupe
B18b swap
eBay turbo kit
Assuming factory chipped/tuned ecu
Was having issues with spark and fuel, and after swapping cap, rotor, plugs, wires, map sensor, ignition coil, fuel pump, and main relay.....car ran great. For about two days. This is by no means a "fast car" build. This is something i picked up dirt cheap from a friend because he was tired of putting money into it. So far, I'm barely $800 into it, and it'll make a great daily to keep miles off of my big turbo 5th gen Camaro.
Got a check engine light, jumped service connector, TPS code. Researched on this site how to calibrate it, got one locally from Autozone, installed and calibrated spot on. (.48v closed, 4.5v open)
Still runs like ****, still popping TPS CEL. Decided to shoot the wires back to the ecu, they check out. Checked ground. Checked 5v constant, good. On the off chance the one I got from autozone was ****, I ordered another one, this time from Amazon.
Lastly, to rule out ecu troubles, I hooked up the stock one I have for it, and same thing happens as far as CEL. Obviously it runs like **** because it doesn't know it has 450cc injectors in it, but it's still showing TPS code.
What's next? At this rate, every damn sensor under the hood will be new before I actually start daily driving it.

I got a TPS from DIY auto on ebay its been working well for me.
as long as you calibrate it should be fine, might wanna double check the wires going from the ECU to TPS but you said you did that already if it still throws codes only other option is bad ECU

Check the pins inside the connector on the tps side. Make sure there isn't any corrosion and that they are not bent or distorted. This sounds like a simple contact issue to me.

So i have a minor update. Swapped in another new TPS, still having the same issue. I swapped ECU back to stock just to double check it was still a TPS/possible connection issue. Well, it started and ran fine with stock ecu. Even runs through the rev range. (extremely rich, but no TPS issue or CEL)
Guess I'm going to find something for an ecu. Any suggestions? I'm going to start researching it now.

you need to get a tunable ECU, and an actual tune anything else and you risk blowing up your motor
Hondata/neptune is your best bet

Update to this thread:
Bought another bolt in ECU just to see if I'd have the same issue. I do. Returning ECU asap. Guess I'm going to just get a throttle body for it. Still getting TPS code. Verified everything was good on ECU side, and proper calibrated the TPS multiple times.
