Default N5Spire's GReddy18g turbo kit dyno results. Thanks for tuning in

This was tuned by force fed lasvegas, we were surprised that this GReddy18g turbo kit made this much power.

stock high comp b20, stock gsr head , ctr intake camshaft, 450 cc dsm blacktop injector, 255 walbro fuel pump, aem fue rail and aem fpr, GReddy turbo kit, 3 inch exhaust, 2.5 inch down pipe, ac and power steering,. 13.5 psi , cc stage 3 and flywheel,
91 octane pump gas

Congratulations. That's about right with that kind of fuel. But boost pressure seems to be a little on the high side for that power level. Back in 2002 we made about 250whp on 93 octane at 9psi.

did you change the gate actuator? (Trying to put some tech into this thread ) distributor was on stock timing?

the gate actuator is probably broken lol we or it started to do that when i changed the the downpipe but still using the greddy elbow adapter, we were watching boost gauge while tunning if it was gonna creep up more, distributor was on stock timming but we retarded and pulled some timming off to a little safe. Lol

I wasn't taking a stab at the ole "B20 is weak as water when boosted or revved over stock rpm" internet myths. I'm just saying anything turbo with stock bottom end or even forged bottom end and highly modified, for that matter, shouldn't be a daily. There are exceptions to this, and it depends on your daily routine/mileage vs my daily routine/mileage.

Every injector calculator I've been through doesn't even come close to 350whp on 450s @ 47psi base pressure. Lol! Combine that with the black top injectors being the most questionable flow rate of the DSMs, you've got a mystery on your hands worthy of Sherlock Holms.

Congrats on those results, N5spire! Congrats again on dropping MANY jaws in regard to your setup

yeah that injector situation doesn't make any sense to me at all either, unless there's some giggly juice in the mix too.
That turbo however is capable of even more than that. I know a few guys who have made 420hp with that turbo.

Congrats on getting it running right, it'll be a fun street car for sure.

If it starts running strange in the future with no signs of mechanical engine issues, I would suggest going straight for ID1050's, as the injectors are almost definitely going to be the culprit sooner or later.

Thanks for feedbacks, we were also questioning the power, i was reading alot of forums about the greddy 18g kit, I was thinking off getting rid of the kit but took my chances to tune it. We were hitting boost cut at 6k when u see one of the charts, so the tuner was like watch the boost gauge while he watches the wideband , it hits 15 psi on the glow shift but he said its usually off by 2psi, but he took some timming off and retarded the the distributor, and said lets make it a little reliable, lol
