Default advice on mounting intercooler

So I was mocking up my intercooler today and was looking for some suggestions on mounting it. It's going onto an EG hatch. The entire intercooler had to be removed. It's a pretty big Greddy unit. It fits in just fine but the mounting tabs on the bottom are horizontal and are at the middle of the core support. There is a vertical tab at the top but the only thing close to it is the hood latch. Our idea was to cut slots in the core support and run bolts down through the bottom tabs.

So I was just looking for brain storming on ways to mount it. Sorry I don't have any pics. Completely forgot to take some at the garage.

no I don't. I'm going to try and get some today. I thought about that as soon as I put the bumper back on yesterday

Maybe you can cantilever like the shape of this [_______] the horizontal part running the width of your car at the front of the bumper and the verticals running back toward your firewall which could possibly bolt to your traction bar if you have one.

hard to imagine without pics, however I can say that I was able to use straight brackets mounted at an angle.... if they are the correct length you can angle them to where you need them

I had a greddy intercooler on my old turbo setup and the lower tabs lined up with the bolt holes for the bumper. Pic would be the best way to get advise though.

I had one too. The "L" bracket on the top lined right up with the central part of the core support with a long bolt/nut combination and centered quite nicely. The standard long brackets on the bottom can be cut but were designed to line up with either the bumper or lower cor support. Photos of this will be of great assistance.
