My turbo bad? Video inside
My build:
Garrett super 60, 60A/R compressor 48A/R turbine
Ebay log mani
cx racing 19x6x2.5 front mount & piping
Tial 8 spi wastegate

I got this T3 super 60 like 5 months ago off ebay in refurbished condition. I finally got around to turboing my LS crx, and it does not pull at all. I'd guess maybe 30-40 more whp, if that. granted i am running un-tuned (fmu) at 6-7 psi, but i thought i should be making much more than this. It really doesn't like to spool that well, and it feel like it stops pulling at like 5k rpm. I know log style manifolds are supposed to be quick spoolers with no topend, but it just starts to spool at like 3k rpm.
It makes kind of a loud whistle/whine. It almost sounds closer to a s/c instead of a turbo. So i figured that maybe the bearings are bad? But there is no shaft play, no damage to the fins.... I double checked for leaks, i can't find any....

If the blow off valve doesn't close all the way it can make a whistling sound and of course the big leak will kill your power. Could be the turbo too though.
