my story at CMI/Summit Racing IDRC event
after some tuning... the best time i did at the CMI/Summit Racing IRDC event was 14.6 on street tires, full interior, body kit and other junk in my car. im running a DRAG3 kit with a 2.5 downpipe and exhaust with a hollow cat. not too bad... but my launch sucked, though. traction problems got the best of my launches. i probably couldve done way better with slicks. didnt have money to get me some though.
i only got to do one time trial to test my car. eventually, made it to the second round of eliminations in the outlaw division, til i lost to some z28 camaro who didnt even belong there! i couldve won... but i changed my dial-in time thinkin ill do better than my best run of the day by .5 of a tenth of a second... so i lost the dial in time by .202. sucks! if i kept it at 14.5 i wouldve continued on. stupid me! hehe

Re: my story at CMI/Summit Racing IDRC event (dustin)
I was there saturday. Best was 14.7 @ 94mph with 2.2 60 ft. on street trim (17's, full interior, restricted cat). lol Weighed at 2700 lbs with no driver. My car was getting slower and slower during the day. It was freekin' hot as hell. I even burnt my oil disptick. lol
Neways, I had fun. I need to unrestrict my car and some smaller diameter rim. But it was a rip off . They made me pay $60 bucks.. for 2 days. I wasn't planning on going on the sunday one. My buddies did so I guess it was worth it for them.

Re: my story at CMI/Summit Racing IDRC event (DB8GSR)
RAY,
the event was cool. i heard that is was the biggest turnout of racers and people that theyve ever had. i got to admit.. there were alot of people and and racers. what happened to your motor?
DB8GSR,
you paid $60 and went on saturday only? daym... i paid $40 on sunday. unrestrict your cat man. just hollow it out. i did... took me almost an hour.. but it gives u alot more power. my car feels alot quicker now with it.
