my set up, any comments, opinions, positive and negative
99 civic si b16a2 2400 lbs.
quaife lsd
block:
bored .10 over
srp 9:1 pistons
head:
p&p and valve job
ferrera exhaust valves 1/2 mm oversized
manley intake valves 1/2 mm oversized
crower valves springs and titanium retainers
turbo set up:
garrett t3/t04e 57 trim .63 a/r turbine .60 a/r comp
tial wg
tial bov
pwr ic 24x6x3 2.5" endtanks
2.5" alum ic piping
radiator hose for connectors and t-clamps
custom equal length turbo manifold(in the process now)
custom 3" dp to 3" straight pipe all the way back
-3 an feed line
-12 an return line
homemade boost controller
still need to get:
mcmaster vacuum manifold
rc 550cc injectors
walboro 255 fuel pump
aem fpr
hondata p28 ecu and s200b
all i need is the fuel delivery things and hondata and groundzero will be tuning it.
any comments, opinions, flames are more than welcome.

Personally, I think you wasted a step by boring your stock sleeves and putting in new slugs (not to mention money too). REAL oversize pistons (on the lines of 83 or 84mm), and of course sleeves, might be a better option. Even if you couldn't afford it now, I would have saved the money you spent on those SRP's and machine work to put towards some displacement later. But I'm biased because i also have a turbo b16a2 and thats my plan I feel a stock block is capable of handling 9/10psi for while with good tuning. I'm only running 5psi right now cause I'm still learning how to tune my ems...I also see some cams in your future, would take advantage of that PnP job. Other than that looks good! -Mike

just curious as to why you replaced the fuel lines... kinda overkill for your setup. the stock fuel lines can support way more than the 550cc injectors you have ever will...

Seems to me that you have spent enough money to warrant getting something better then a homemade boost controller.

My .02 with the $ you spent building the head and dropping in srp slugs I woudl have sleeved the motor and built better bottom end. I just dont understand why you would build the head before the block?
Or i mean why would you build it and then not have $ for hondata yet? Im not trying to flame just think you should prioritize things better .

i had nos in it before and melted a piston tahts the only reason its bored and my engine builder gave me those pistons for 300, the head was built right when i got the car about a year ago and i got all the head internals and the pnp job for like 600 so i couldnt pass that up. i was also thinking of a blitz id boost controller so if i have the money at the time then ill go with that other than a diy one. if i strip the whole rear of the car, spare, back seats, jack, the wood thing, it wieghs about 2420 and with me it wiehgs 2540.
