my RE-dyno(mustang dyno vs. dynojet)
im not sure who read my last post awhile ago, but my turbo type R on a mustang dyno made 311 hp and 242 tq. i wasnt really pleased with that but i was happy, so i had a chance to get it on a dyno jet with an exhaust wideband(the one that slides in the muffler) and i got 366.8 hp and 272.9 tq (18.psi)with my a/f holding steady at 11.7,which is fine since i drive the car and its on pump gas all the time.

Re: my RE-dyno(mustang dyno vs. dynojet) (Turbo92Si)
there was an article in turbo magazine that they tested like 10 different dynosand all were different.
All that matters is the gain of hp not the actual number itself. so get a base run before you do some thing then change it out and see the gain.
or you could just say ok thats my number since dyno time is $$$

mustang typically dyno lower than ur other dyno's.
we see it all the time when comparing WRX dyno's.
i like to use the mustang dyno's since they seem to be "real numbers". IMHO.

Re: my RE-dyno(mustang dyno vs. dynojet) (88hondahatch)
How does a dyno get the title of being a Mustang Dyno? Does it get calibrated differently when it comes out of production to be used in a domestic shop or something?
I would think that a dynojet at an import shop would dyno the same as a dynojet at a domestic shop, right?
Someone please explain?

eric sorry to highjack your thread but when can you guys help me with my tranny/clutch problem. I don't want to drive it up unless you guys have a few minutes to at least get me an idea what is wrong with it. BTW awesome #'s from you and jay. we need to get my car fixed and on a dyno so you guys can tune it.

yeah i've read that dyno's all differnt didn't turbo do that dyno's lie articule. But either way there nice numbers. I figure never hope for to much out of the car becuase if you thought you would hit 400 than all you'll be thinking about is the money that you put in and its not what you want or expected.

Mustang is the brand of the dyno.

That's awesome, Eric! Who's Dynojet did you get to use? I'd love to go for a ride, but I'm not sure my fat body would fit in your new Recaros. When you guys tune my car would you be using the Crustang dyno or the Dynojet?
