Are my power goals in reaching distance?
Ok I have a B18c1 motor sittin in my garage right now. It has been there for about a week now, and I have been planning and planning out my motor build. BUt still I run into walls everything I turn around. I have came up with a list of parts, that some will cut down to nothing and some will say add more. But this is my ideas, and plans soo before I order can someone check this out and see if I am on the right check? My power goals are 450whp to 500whp on 91 octane pump gas. I would like ot have at least 450whp to drop into my 2000 Honda Civic SI. So cut up my list, add to it, or modify parts i have. But some parts people will say I am overdoing it but I want hte best parts out there. IF I replace it i am goin all out. Thanks

Yup, should be doable...check out http://www.evans-tuning.com and look at the dyno sheet forum. They have a BUNCH of dyno sheets for all sorts of setups.

I was told 500whp would never be able to be done with pump gas though?

Axles I havent looked into yet. I am worried about gettin my motor finished first. The axles will be replaced before i put it on the road. Cause this project isn't one i will do one thing and ifnish it then drive it then park it again and start on something different. I am parking this until I get my exterior, motor, axles, suspension, brakes, and all the important stuff done. Then when I move to turning my interior in jdm i will park it for a while. As for tunning what do u mean? I have a import shop a hour away that will tune my car with the AEM EMS.

Can you help me on how much lower I should go?

Your stock fuel system with a walbro 255 pump should be good for 600hp. No need to spend all that money on that fuel system yet.

Re: Are my power goals in reaching distance? (underpressure02)
i wouldnt use it on my build... im aiming for 500whp on pump... ive heard they start to suck around 400-wantboost
so that fuel system is overkill for a hopeful 450whp+ on pump and 550whp+ on race gas?

Search around and look at other peoples setups. A lot of higher hp cars are not running that fuel system.

Re: Are my power goals in reaching distance? (97turbols)
thats why ur search button dont give u exactly what you want. why cause there is so much crap in these archieves that will pop up with the info i really need. it takes way to long to find all the answers to questions thru searching the forum's archieves

Re: Are my power goals in reaching distance? (Turbo-charged)
Trully on axles I am lost. I mean my goal is 450whp to 500whp on 93 octane and then 600whp+ on race gas. So I say I may need axles but I dont know where to look or what brands are good. lol

Re: Are my power goals in reaching distance? (RedlineKustomz)
me too thats why i havnt bought any....and not to mention the ones that are rated for the power i make i can't affored. so i have been on the same stock axles for 2 years and just keep another set of junk yard axles in the trunk or in the trailor. been working well so far.

Re: Are my power goals in reaching distance? (RedlineKustomz)
you can make those hp numbers with that kit. maybe u should get a bigger tb (68mm or 70mm) but what you have should be fine. check out driveshaft shop's or avid racing axles if you want to upgrade your axles they make good axles. a shop in my area told me they use stock axles on there 600hp civic. they said they just will replace them if they break with another set of stock axles since there only about $55 each. but i would upgrade them though. its your choice

Re: Are my power goals in reaching distance? (chrisgottigsr)
if u do decide to get stock axels i recommend getting the autozone/kragen/napa type axels. not quite sure which one it is but i think one of those stores offer free lifetime warranty.
