Default My new block!!! w/ New Darton Design

Hey all just got home and snapped some pics of my new block I picked up today.

As some of you know I cracked a sleeve and was about to replace with my extra stock B18B but I decided to do this

Al I need was a new piston b/c the old one was scratched on the side really bad, and new bearings yada yada.

This is Darton's brand new design they came out with, I was one of the licky firsts to get them.

Anyways to the good stuff!

That's Darton's new design and they also have one more o-ring towards the bottom of the sleeve, this was changed due to the AEBS Patent on the sleeves and there were some legal issues. This is from a very very reputable Race/Machine shop that deals with Darton and was told directlt to them, great either way AEBS or Darton, if I were to do it all over again one of those would've been my choice. Good luck with your block and set up.

If you got that from Jotech I am pretty sure that is a RS machined block with the raised sleeve. That is the closed deck raised 3 thousanths.

Looks good. Would a closed deck like the AEBS or old Darton help with headgasket sealing compared to that design, RS's, or GEM's?

no, I didnt get this from jotech, I WAS going to buy a Golden Eagle block from them. But I had to order a new piston so I figure mind as well get the better sleeves while im at it. Especially when they would have cost the same amount.
