my hondata rant/rave and a few shoutouts!
well about 2 1/2 weeks ago i got in on a c-speedracing group buy for a hondata. I hooked it all up and got a nasty check engine light and could not pull the codes. well after a ton of help from people we swaped everything: odb harness and ecu and found out that it was a bad/wrong burnt chip from cspeed. So after al teh help from dougand the other guy@hondata, Cresant@cspeedracing, and alot of help from sonny and the guy who goes by turboteg via IM. Have only a few words about the hondata setup (3b). Well would i go through it all again?????? HELL YEAH!!! after driving my car today (untuned) it drives just like a turbo eclipse/talon. its as if the turbo came with the car. all the people out there were right all along and i cant believe i did not make this purchase longer ago. The launch controll and full throttle shift are crazy and the power comes on so much stronger! Its like a new car. Thanks so much cspeed fpr the great price. after selling all my getto stuff, fuel pump, vortec fpr, and vafc it was almost free!
well thanks again all and ill post up some 8th mile times tomorrow night when i get back from the track. Thanks again all!!!!

Re: my hondata rant/rave and a few shoutouts! (GruvyTune)
ok heres the deal. i just got back from the track. and my time sucked. i last ran a 9.2 in the 8th and now with the hondata i ran a 10.1 but wait there more......
It was my fault. I set my boost yesterday when it was 85degress at 10psi. i have the stock map sensor so i did not wanna hit the over boost. well the weather today was 65 so on the last run i watched the boost gauge and it would climb past 10to11to12 and then then car would totally lose power, just as if i hit a wall. when i got home i set the boost down a little more to where it would only go to 9psi and then the car ran tons better and did not hit any walls. I wish i had done this at the track but i only had 3 runs so it was hard to tell what the hell was up. and i was still getting used to the fullthrottle shift and the launch controll. any ways its of to the dyno this week to my dealer to get this thing tunned.
