thas normal ... i was losing coolant too and didnt ever see it in the the oil thought headgasket was toast turned out to be the intake manifold gasket. It didnt even leak when id look under there . Youd have to go run it real hard then look.

yes its fine and normal to do that. Now if youve got the radiator cap and bleed screw closed and when you run it hard it starts overfilling the plastic container then youve got some headgasket problems.

uhmm nah, when i thrash the car, the water/coolant level on the resevoir bottle stays the same, buttttt after i leave the car overnight, the water/coolant level on the resevoir bottle will go down
does that mean i have a leak somewhere ???

that's how the overflow system works, when the cooling system pressure exceeds the spring pressure of the radiator cap, coolant flows into the bottle, once the cooling system and engine cools down it contracts and a vacuum is created, the radiator cap acts as a check valve and coolant is drawn back into the cooling system from the overflow bottle.
mark the level on the bottle with a sharpie when the system has cooled down, then check it again once you've driven the car and let it cool down again, the level should return to the mark.

uhm once it has gone down, even if i drive it hard the water level on the resevoir bottle will not go up and the following morning the water level even lower than before ....
