MY H22 turbo EG: just got back from the DYNO @ .9 BAR!!
Ok, well on Saturday we had a dyno day... which I won for four cylinder class, took home $200! Anyway, my car is a fully built H22, held steady boost at .9 bar about 13 psi!....., on pump gas,....
367 horsepower.... 279 lb/ft of torque, @ .9 BAR (about 13 PSI) I don't have a scanner to get you the dyno graph!
CONSERVATIVE TIMING AND air fuel ratio was 11.2:1 under boost, which is pretty rich but SAFE, and I have been boosting hard for 4 months,... still perfect compression!
Mods list is:
Darton Sleeves (stock bore)
wiseco 8.8:1 pistons
eagle rods
Skunk2 black nitride coated valves, stock size
Skunk2 valve springs
Skunk2 titanium retainers
STOCK cams and cam timing
STOCK T.B. and intake manifold
UNPORTED head
BALANCE SHAFTS ELIMINATED!
Crank micropolished
Maxrev equal length turbo manifold
Garrett T3/T04e (stage 3 turbine wheel, .63 A/r)
10X24 Griffin intercooler
Custom aluminum intercooler tubing by ME
2.5" downpipe, 3" exhaust...both custom by ME
AEM fuel rail
AEM fpr
FJO wideband
Greddy Boost, EGT, Oil Pressure
AEM EMS tuned by TorqueFreaks
Greddy 720cc injectors
JDM SIR gauge cluster
.... that's all I can think of right now!
ENGINE FULLY ASSEMBLED BY ME!

is that h22 staying cool enough with that civic radiator? I was thinking of going with a civic style radiator with my built f22 in my accord.

**** yeah it is! Where I live it gets over 100 in the summer, and this summer it got over 100 quite a few times,...... and even in boost, and driving through traffic, I have NEVER had my water temp rise above normal.

Re: (Disco Stu)
Oh yeah, lots of work to do over the winter, and in spring possibly a more efficient turbo, and I might start revving it higher, it still seems to want to make power above 7400 RPM's.
I will try to post the dyno graph tomorrow.
Oh, and do the torque #'s seem LOW to anyone? I was expecting more torque.

Re: (MordecaiPSI)
Pump gas only.... no problem. There is a LOT more power to be had, however I am working on building a B R O A D powerband, not just peaky horsepower, although my torque is somewhat peaky now, I will be tuning for a broad powerband with lots of area under the curve.
I need to make the car harness the power it currently has in street trim before I go looking for more power, it lights up the tires in 3rd already, more power would just make my car slower !

Re: MY H22 turbo EG: just got back from the DYNO @ .9 BAR!! (Emerika)
Yes, you're right, I had them install the pistons to ensure the piston to cylinder wall clearances were right, and to ensure that everything would be balanced properly because I don't have the tooling to check the piston to wall clearance, nor the experience at that time to feel confident checking the bearing clearances. So yeah, Edwards Supreme Engines in Spokane, WA did bolt in the crank, and assemble the pistons onto the rods, and bolt in the rods, and they did a GREAT JOB . However the assembly of all of the accessories; oil pump, water pump, head onto the block, cams, and the attention to detail to ensure perfect torque-ing of all of the bolts, etc was done by me, and what a time consuming process that is...... I was so worried about anything going wrong, I took my damn time! It all turned out GREAT! Oh, and figuring out how to eliminate the balance shafts, and having the plugs machined, which also turned out great,... thanks again to Edwards engines on the input about the balance shafts, with their help we created a great balance shaft eliminator kit!
