My first turbo build
Hi guys im new here, and i pretty new to the honda scene. Im building my first turbo car, the only other honda i have built is a 92 civic vx, i did a b20 vtec in it but i ended up selling it. That was 3yrs ago and i regreated, so i have been really wanting to build another honda, so in may i bought a 98 civic hatch shell. I have been researching and buying parts every since.
Heres the car when i first got it.
Getting the motor in and all the turbo stuff mocked up
The motor all in, she fired right up!
so i drove the car for about 2 weeks before i tore it all back down an sent the shortblock to Laskey Racing. Next i picked up a used JG ported Head and i started stock pilling my garage with parts.
I decided to put the battery in the back and put the catch can were the battery was.
I Went to import faceoff in KC and i seen a car with a stickered front lip i kinda liked it so i decided to try some interior pieces.
So while i was waiting for the motor i had been seeing these cars that guys paint the engine bay a diffrent color so i decided to go for it. I picked a new civic SI Blue and my friend added a little for metallic flake to make it pop a little bit more.
The civic all ready for paint BEFORE!!
And AFTER!!
I bought alot of red accent pieces to dress the engine bay up, the goal is to have a car that i can take to shows and to the race track. I kinda want it to be a sleeper, but when you pop the hood i wanted it to be kinda flashy.
Heres some pics of what the car looks like right now.
I finally got the motor back last thursday!! Im ready to get the car going again.
Thanks for looking guys, if u have any input plz let me know, this is my first real build so any advice or input would be help full ill keep the tread up dated as i get more work done on the car.

Re: My first turbo build
**** me. I'm really jealous dude... If I had a larger budget, I'd be going this same route. Love the red accents, and the color of the bay while being almost stock exterior. Good luck with it all!

thanks for the comments guys. I really wanted the car to look stock tell u pop the hood, and let it blow u away with whats hiding under there. Im really happy with it so far i think a wire tuck and brake tuck will be done later on. But for now im just ready to finally get it running. Im tired of spending money and not enjoying it lol!
