My dyno numbers....SOHC.....stock internals
Hello, I just went to Autolink in Temple City, CA, and dyno'd my car.
My setup includes...stock d16y8 internals, blockguard, t3/t4, deltagate II wastegate, spearco intercooler, 2 add'l 440cc lucas injectors, with mf2 controller, 2mm headgasket, skunk2 adj cam gear, Gredy Profec b specII, walbro 255lph, 2 1/4 exhaust, 2 1/4 downpipe, i think i am remembering everything.
on 10 psi i made 193 hp to the wheels, the guy didnt give me a print out of how much torque i had on 10 psi, only hp, but then we upped the boost to 14 psi and i got 215 hp and 174.4 lbs of torque.
now i know i can improve on this because i have a 2 1/4 exhaust, and the 2 mm headgasket, but for my first install, first dyno, i am freakin impressed, it also pulls so hard!!!
So there ya go, my dyno numbers for all you that wanna see. comments and advice and anything is definately welcome.
i will post the sheets when i get the papers scanned from a friend, but i dont have a scanner, but i will definately post them if you guys wanna see them.
next week i am going to the track to see how it does.

Sweetness.
power seems a little low for the boost settings, though. what are your a/f's under boost?

Good numbers with that setup! Once you go with a larger dp/exhaust setup and have it tuned you should make quite a bit more power.

Re: My dyno numbers....SOHC.....stock internals (TurboSedan)
yeah the guy also said that with my 2mm headgasket im losing a lot of power too. the other thing that i know is stopping me from producing more power is the darn mf2, no one really knew how to tune it, so he just played around with it, he said also another problem was my wastegate, it kept trying to regulate the boost cus i have a 6psi wastegate, so he said also if i upgrade to a larger springed w.g. it should smooth out.
nope its not a built motor, its a stock d16y8 with 124,000 miles on it. eventually im gonna build it, but not till it blows on me.

Cool, my D16Y8 has almost 113k miles and I run 8-10 psi. I would love to get a Quaife installed but I can't afford it right now. Torque steer sucks!

yeah ive definately noticed that, the first time i actually punched it, it caught me by surprise because of how the steering was kinda hard to control.

Nice
14psi is pushing the limits of the stock motor. You can't have any tuning hiccups!

Re: (ELSpool)
I think you exhaust is an extreme bottle neck at 14psi, If you got 3" from the downpipe back you would probably gain about 10hp. Can you get any pics of the dyno? Nice numbers, I plan on hondataing my car with forged internal with the greddy turbo kit and will post mine when it's done. 215whp must be fun!!

power to the sohc, ive laid the smack to tons of NA ludes, tegs, civic, si'c etc in my 8v, lots of people think its a 1.8T!!!!, i have yet to run a boosted honda and fear it, LOL, i dont know why vw and honda made cheezy *** 8v sohc, oh well,

looking goood...... you need to do some more fine tuning on the car though, im sure you could pull more power out of it at 10psi..... waht are the specs of the turbo and waht timing were you runing??? at 9.5psi i as at 205, but still you are doing fine regardless....
