My choice between motor what too use !!!! GSR OR B20 Vtec
I have my choice between 2 motors to use for turbo but what do you guys think is the best one..
1st 97 Gsr motor stock internals, with Skunk2 intake manifold,Str fuel rail, with low miles.
2nd B20 with Je pistons all new rings and apr head bolts, new head gaskets type r cams, new crower rods, b16 head stock with type r intake manifold, All parts are brand new
What would you guys think would be better to run
im gonna be running a Gsr tranny,
turbo is a Turbonetics t3/t4 b ,
I have to decided becasue if i want the B20 i have to sell the Gsr motor to get so what you guys think is better, I was gonna but rods and pistons in the gsr motor soon or later so u think i should just make the trade or keep the gsr motor...
Your help greatly appreciated

i would pick the gsr.
the b20 sounds more like an all motor setup. what compression are the je pistons

to4b is nice and small and would suit a stock gsr well at low boost.
the gsr is a better motor than a b20 bottom end stock for stock. it migh tmake a little less pwoer than the b20/vtec would, but i still would choose the gsr hands down

GSr is more expensive, but you get what you pay for Gsr
The Type R cams will hurt you in the b20(but you could always sell them buy some gsr's and make some $)
Turbonetics uhhh I would go with a better quality turbo atleast a garrett, but precision would be nice too
You can make a ton of poiwer with the gsr if you do it right. I say KISS and go with the gsr.

I have the chance to buy a Garrett t3/t4 60-1 but hurting for cash to buy it right now. So does turbonetics suck that bad!!!!

You already have the GSR engine.....stick with that. And this coming form a LSVtec guy. The GSR will make a better base engine to modify later on. You will not have to worry about the usual LSVtec issues/modifications.

yea plus i heard that the stock sleeves in b20 motors tend to go a lot faster under boost than gsr sleeves.
