my car completly stopped.... Ectune ??

Well like my tittle says I have a problem... and my car is now stopped for about a month.

Few weeks ago my buddy did a quick tune of my car with Ectune ( CivicTSI ). I was running Crome and everything was good but he wanted me to run a FJO injectors driver and Ectune because he prefer the idle with this injector driver and he also like to get the car runs with the wideband all the time with Ectune. I said why not ? His car is running like a champ.

So a good morning we removed the resistor box and installed the FJO injector driver box, installed his tuning computer started the car. The car started at the first time. We were short on time so we just did a quick tuning around the block and he burned the chip to install it in my P28.

After that I did like 200 feets on the street and my car completly shutted down... The radio, fan, wiper etc were still working but I wasnt able to start the car anymore. Just like when my MSD coil burned like 2 years ago. Im now running stock everything on my ignition.

We have some fire on every plugs, fuel in every cylinder... but it seems that its not timed correctly ??? I inspected my timing belt and all the mark are aligned on the pulley and the timing gear. Anyway I was going like 25mph in 3rd gear so no way that my belt slipped.

We tryed my FJO box in his car... it work. My complete computer... it work.... we changed the coil and igniter for some used one, doesnt work. We changed the main relay, the plugs etc...... is it possible that it can be related to the aternator ? Mt battery show a good voltage.

What do I try.

My car is now for sale seriously... I know its probably a stupid problem but Im really unlucky with this stupid car....

15 000$ CAN in Montreal.

you try your old injectors w/ resistor box and crome bin?

Not yet. Well we never changed the injectors but we tryed the Crome bin and it didnt helped. I think that its somewhere between the new box and the injector but the car was running super nice for a good 5 miles so why it wouldnt run anymore ? http://images.honda-tech.com/set1//smile/emcrook.gif

Because the bad component took 5 miles to break down?

If it was an ignition problem, you could conceivably have spark while its out of the cylinder (in free air), but it couldn't jump the gap when it consisted of a compressed gas mixture. Even at idle - say 20 Hg", you're compressing the air to nearly atmospheric, so a spark in open air just tells you the plug/ign is not completely dead. Add gas to increase resistance, and maybe more pressure (esp during start, as its 0psi then), and it becomes impossible to form an arc. If somehow the wideband acted funny for a while and fouled the plugs, or somehow an ign part failed randomly, it could result in this odd problem.

check the map sensor signal in ectune. its most likely something mechanical and not with the program

haha yeah I understand.

I think that I will buy a complete new dizzy from Honda... what else it could be ?? http://images.honda-tech.com/set1//smile/emcrook.gif It really feel like when I blew a MSD coil...

For sure it not eCtune. We basically have the same setup and his ECU works fine on my car. It could be the map, didn't think about datalogging it http://images.honda-tech.com/set1//smile/emcrook.gif
