My boosted H22 EG finally moving. lots of pics
first of all i had this car up for sale about 2 years ago when it was an all motor h22 set-up. i couldn't get what i was asking so i sold the na stuff and budget built the boosted stuff. the engine that is in there now is the mock up engine. i was using it while my other engine was in the machine shop and apart. then i decided to use it for tuning my AEM anyway, so i left it in there.
my real engine is bored to 89.5, custom 9:1 weisco pistons and ge sleeves, eagle rods and ferrea valvetrain p&p head. when this goes in i am shooting for about 20 lbs
i had the car in my garage for about 2 years or so and lost interest in the car due to all the cooler kids with unpainted bodykits and crooked universal mufflers. well i finished up a few of my customers boosted cars and it lit the flame again. so here we are today.
specs as i can remember.
JDM H22
GT30
3" ss downpipe
3" aluminum exhaust w/ vibrant muffler
2.5" aluminum charge pipe
tial 50mm
tial 38mm
my own ramhorn manifold
my own gutted intake manifold
mustang 70mm throttlebody
golden eagle fuel rail
golden eagle oil distribution plate
walborro 255
720cc injectors
precision 600hp intercooler
my own breather tank
fram fuel filter
aeromotive regulator
AEM EMS
AEM wideband
And the other stuff
apex turbo timer
autometer gauges
1 wire alternator with custom mounting
for the body mods see this
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1020585
the bumper is coming back from my body guy this weekend. all i have left to do i wire a horn and button and mount the bumper and install my antenna for the xm.
i drove it around in my shop parking lot a little, i am running 9-10 pounds, all i can do is first and second gear and they seem pretty useless due to tire spin, even with my quaife.
enjoy, i hope anyway.

Re: (goldhatch94)
thats all the pics i have for the tuck. its all together now, as for the placement i think that the other guys ways are easier, see the welding/fabrication forum, i i believe one post is stickied. i can tell you this, it is tighter than a 14 years old virgin ***, and if you push hard enough it can go in.
i had to move the alt and feed cables to the other side of the fuse panel. i had to cut the bottom of the raintray and run the wires though and seal them up. when i cut the holes i made them the same size and shape as the grommets through the firewall, so i can transfer tem over. i then had to seal it with rtv.

i believe its a gt3076r, it has the larger turbine housing at .82 ar. i cant tell you 100% about boost b/c its onlt in first and second gear, but i would say fuul boost at 6000 opn 9lbs starts building boost at 3000. stock cr is 10.6:1 i believe

Re: (96vtecI4)
It's good to see more boosted h22 egs . Your whole build reminds me of mine., I went na for a few years then boosted a stock h22 on 8psi for 4 months ran 12 flats all day and then the ringlands let go. Got a build motor running 20 psi on the streets and still breaks the tires loose in 4th gear. Looks like your setup will be a blast , our setups are real similar but I'm running a sc61 . I do remember watching a few vids a couple years back of your eg with itb's , and it always put a smile on my face . Lay down a couple 10 sec passes and call it done

Re: (dturbocivic)
I WAS JUST TRYING TO FIT huge tires. i thoought a 0 would be the best option. any input? what size in inched were those lensos' and slick size? the 275-50-15 were 26.1 tall and 11.1 wide.

can i see more pictures of how you relocated the alternator? im in the process of looking at options....my turbo has a 4"inlet and I can't fit a cone filter on it with out cutting the hell out of it.
Right now Im looking a possibly using a dseries alternator and makeing some brackets.

Re: My boosted H22 EG finally moving. lots of pics (93dxkid)
there is a company on here selling kits to movew the h22 and d alt. to the same area as miine. i am unsure the exact placement. if it wasnt for the 1 wire option i would pay twice the asking price for those mounts. the relocation took me about 6 hours to do, then re-do, then re-do again, then weld the alt back up, then drill again. put it this way< f uck making it if you can buy it.
the company is http://www.explicitspeed.com i think.

Re: (meanEG)
i would stick with something a little smaller than that. hell our race cars dont even have an 11inch wide tire on them LOL.
if you can try getting something around 24.5/9.5. if you arent making a ton of power, the taller tire will hurt you.
the lenso's steve had were 13/7.5 maybe? im not sure on the width or backspacing of the lensos. but i do know he had 24.5X8.5's on there.
