CaliforniaDad, are you keeping all your pistons or are you going to get a new single piston? Glad youre getting it rebuilt and shooting for more power!

And rich7777 heres the single post where he breaks it down, its a long thread with tons of different people throwing out opinions.

Yeah I'm keeping all my pistons they are fine. Just going to order new rings. We plan on bumping the compression a little by taking a lil off the block and head. So I should be right about 8:9.1

.........Update..........
Today I was stripping apart the head. When I removed the fuel rail and inspected the injectors, I found that there was debries in top of injector #3 Looks like some black plastic bits. This could be what caused the problem with cyl #3. It must have been causing a lean condition for that cylinder.

It's kind of pricey. Both the backplate, and housing would have to be replaced, plus the wheel, PLUS the machining. There is a GT3540S upgrade that's less expensive, in which I can keep the same backplate and bore out the housing a bit better, for 65lbs/min, instead of the 59lbs/min you currently have.

Sorry I kinda blew them out already. but I found the same plastic bits in the top of the fuel filter. It looks like the filter was falling apart inside. Thats what I get for using a fram or STP fuel filter.

The bits of plastic/metal could have been cause for your unstable idle as well if it was blocking the injector. Just a thought though.

Ou yeah I'm sure of it! I took the fuel filter off and it is deff the filter coming apart! I went and bought an AEM highflow filter to replace it. And some new 850cc high impedance injectors.
