My ACL's wont fit my Eagle Rods....?
For some reason my STD size ACL bearings wont go in my B18C Eagle H beam rods.
The small tab on the bearing wont sit into the groove on the rod cap, its not big enough!
Anyone come across this problem before? Nothing came up on a search....
The bearings fit my standard rods perfectly, so its not the bearings at fault, its as if the groove hasnt been machined wide enough.....

Re: My ACL's wont fit my Eagle Rods....? (EGUK)
I came across this a couple of nights ago. Same exact setup. What I did was take a small flat needle file and put a chamfer on the side of the tang of the bearing. About 30 seconds on each bearing and they fit fine.
I don't know if it is an eagle problem or an acl bearing problem. The acl's fit stock rods fine and a stock oem bearing fit the eagles fine. Weird issue but an easy fix. Good luck.

Thanks for info, I'm sure its the rods at fault as my old OEM bearings wont go into the Eagles properly either....
Will the bearings be ok to file? Have you run the motor you did this on yet?

You are filing the backside of the tang. All you are doing is putting an angle on a corner and it fits the rod fine.
