motors for turbocharging.. your opinion~
what B-series motor.. would you say is the best to turbocharge?? as a daily driven car~ what is the best setup .. being turbocharged.. with a B-Series motor~ nothing HARDCORE.. something common and easy to maintain and drive daily with minimal to problems?? basically totally bolt on kits.. a couple if not no custom work is okay but majority bolt on~ what is the best B-series set up that you like??

Well if its a b18c vs b18b.... the b18c will make more power at a given psi over the b18b. But with the b18b, it's easier to dial out detonation, at a given psi.

oo okay thanks for the input cracker099. i've heard something that maybe you can verify~ i've heard that with b18b's.. since they have no vtec.. you don't have as much boost lag as you would with a vtec. having that.. the b18b can boost more compared to the b18c or any other motor that has vtec. is that true?

It has nothing to do with detonation...you're thinking about tuning in general. With a DOHC you can adjust cam timing for less overlap, which the VTEC motors have more of since the VTEC lobes act like a bumpier cam.

first off...do a search, theres tons of threads about this topic...
next
b18b if you keep it stock
b18c/b16a if you plan to build
personally i prefer the itr or b16 head also...little bigger combustion chamber...
