Motec Wideband O2 Sensor v. "others"

Motec Wideband O2 Sensor v. "others"
I'm considering buying a wideband O2 sensor and have been looking at the Motec, FJO and Blitz A/F Analyser. What are the differences between them? The FJO is half the price of the Motec, but is it the same? Is it worth paying extra to get the Motec?

Much much much, cheaper here... http://www.techedge.com.au/vehicle/wbo2/default.htm
Make yourself(like i did) or buy online and just need to install and best of all, works perfectly.
Oh and napa has the ntk sensors, look them up manually, got mine in 2 days! "Thepartsbin" has been out for long time, not sure when they'll get more.

i've got the FJO and it's great!
i don't think it's half the price of the motec though, motec seems to go for 1200 and fjo is 800 (for controller, sensor, and led display) if i'm not mistaken

My friend has the FJO in his turbo Supra. That thing is ***** out awesome Sunday when we went to IMSTAR at ATCO we wanted to set his boost controller a little higher since he was running 105 octane he bought from the local speed shop. Anyway, we cranked the boost up to 27 and did a couple of 4th gear pulls on the way to the track. Man, I tell you that FJO is sweet for the low cost of the unit. He paid around $800 and comes with everything including datalogging capabilities. Has a nice display that reads the A/F along with error codes and couple of other basic things.
Eventually if I get a hold of one of the board members who lives near me that has a hondata 4B I am going to transfer the FJO into my car ( a whole 15 minutes maybe) so I dont need to waste money on dyno tuning.
Basically for the $800 spent on it, it will eventually pay for itself after about 5-7 hours of dyno tuning. To me its well worth the money and will probably permanenty find its way into my car in the upcoming days.....

Do you have the PN for the sensor?
I thought I recall seeing about a week ago a GB for the FJO WB?!? Is this still going on?

motec is a bosch sensor, it took two, almost three weeks to get stuff from AUS, got it opened and searched... customs??? But everything was there. Total cost for everything prebuilt is about 300 US shipped for the unit, add to that 150 for NTK sensor and it's 450 total. I built my own with parts from AUS for about 250 US total including sensor, even less if you don't opt for the cool readout. Feel sorry for the aussies, xchange rates suck for them...

Who is peter? Can you hook me up with an email address. You got everything for 315 shipped?! I would really like a wideband o2 but always thought they ran a lot more than this so I kind of counted it out.

Re: Motec Wideband O2 Sensor v. "others" (LEON)
I just purchased the FJO Enterprises wideband. I ordered it from there distributor in FL. called Cyberspace Automotive. I spoke with Fred, the owner of FJO, and he was nice and very knowledgeable as we'll as helpful. He said that the two extra wires on the Mo Tec 7 wire unit is redundant and that there 5 wire has the same accuracy claims. If you look into it Speed Pro, Accel both use 5 wire widebands. And Leon your right there was a group buy attempt. Although it seems that out of everyone who said were going to buy in backed out except for a few. I paid 600.00 for mine. It plugs into a port for my AEM Plug & Play as well.
We'll good luck!

Re: Motec Wideband O2 Sensor v. "others" (LEON)
The FJO unit works well. We will be selling a version (in the $500-$700 price range) made up to Hondata specification (with the correct cables and connectors and wires for easy use with Hondas and Hondata software). We use both the Motec and FJO units. The FJO unit was used to tune (very well I might add) the Prelude on our homepage:

I believe it's already available. When I spoke with Fred at FJO he said that it can work on hondata and aem plug & play. He will let you know what you need to make it work.
