Moroso oil pan, bent rail seat... able to bend back?
Didn't know where to put this topic, figured its going on my turbo car its related
received my moroso oil pan 20910 today, but good ol' fed ex must of dropped it once or twice... resulting in the corner rail seat to be bent downward.
i've sent the seller an email and the pics but just incase they don't do anything about it, will i be able to bend the lip back up and get it close to level again?
heres some pics for reference:
thanks

i wouldn't hit it but using an adjustable wrench and bend it that way.
then maybe a straight edge to try to see how straight it gets
EDIT: another thing you could do is get it rigged up to a metal plate, and screw it on real tight until the metal starts straightening out as you crank it down.

The oil pans are suppose to be torqued to 8lbs, thats not going to bend it back.

You could just make sure you use a rag so the dimples don't get inserted into the metal.
I would just use a rubber mallet and a piece of wood. Had to pound out an oil pan a few times, once you toruqe the bolts usually the steel forums a rivet type shape that can cut away at the gasket.
