Default mileage question for you turbo owners

sup guys...i have a 98 gsr w/ about 57K miles on it. i plan on going turbo in july and i have a question....i work about 30 miles from home and my car is a daily driver. would it be ok to drive 60 miles a day w/ the turbo? i dont think i'll be working at the same place for much longer cuz i'll be going to school full time come next spring. just want to know if it would be safe to put that many miles a day on the turbo or should i just wait a while?

when i first put my stage II rev hard i was at 94k miles, runs like a champ. Do a compression and leak down test to make sure motor is tip top and you should be ok put that many miles wont hurt you at all, it will just give you typical wear and tear on your engine, it might be more dramatic depending on how much your boosting and also how hard you drive. Just keep up with your oil changes

I put my rev hard stage 2 on about 2 months ago at around 36k miles if that helps... she runs beautiful and gets oil changes every 3k or less miles

thanks for the reassurance...btw, what kind of motor oil do you guys use? i just switched to valvoline max life from mobi 1 after reading that long *** oil battle in the type r forum. in the end, the recommended oils were either redline or max life. i chose max life cuz its easier for me to get, and i dont really wanna spend almost $10/qt for the redline.

when i put on my turbo... i had 115,000+ miles on my car. i have 133,500+ now and i drive at least 500 miles a week... and i race an average of 15 cars a week, too. take car of your car.. dont abuse it too much... and youll be good to go.

valvoline oil is excellent. thats what i use now.
