maybe you all know this, but i didn't...and fmax didn't. it causes the car to run rougher and backfire because it can't let the pressure change fast enough...or soemthing like that. either way its crap.

yep tried it like that. you can try it out before you go on the road just by hitting the throttle. to fix it just make a little hole in the hose on the one connected to the map sensor. and it will then work fine

wont that mess up the pressure though? like when in vac make the map read a little less vacuum than its really at?

It worked fine for me for a while. It's also the way the Missing Link works, it just uses a much larger check valve. What you need to look out for is the tiny check valve that F-Max provides has a small hole in it that needs to be clear just like the Missing Link has. It's easy to push the vacuum hose up and over that hole blocking it, or to get that hole cloged.

I'm looking at mine now. the hole is fine.
another think i noticed, when i disconected the map sesor from the check valve, i heard a woosh of air. either air going in, or comign out. either way, this little pos was holding pressure.

also, i didn't even notice the hole before. when theres a hole...how does the map sensor still get an accurate reading?

the hole is so small that it does not affect it. too big will suck up too much air. you need just enough so it will allow the check valve to relieve it's self
