Market research needed for you GReddy turbo owners.......
Hello,
As some of you know, we're in the business of building quality parts for the import market.
My question is:
If we were to build a stainless steel tublar manifold for the GReddy turbo kits, that still worked with your A/C, PS, and allowed you to bolt on the turbo shield, would you be interested?
We've seen the turbo manifolds from GReddy, and all we can say is "DAMM" that is one restrictive manifold!
Let me know what you think!
Thanks,
Aj.

I'd be interested. Would be cool if there is a spot for an external wastegate and a EGT probe. It doesn't have to be all bling bling either.

Also, how about a replacement downpipe that is larger in diameter? Say 2.5" or 3" Would that be something worth making?

that sounds VERY interesting as I've heard of cracked Greddy manifolds but mostly from the Miata crowd.. so what they do is they cut up the 'joints' between the exhaust ports.. but i have yet to hear about these cracked manifolds from any 99civic Si users..

**** I wish you guys would make a tubular manifold that would fit inside a civic with a T3/T4 that you can keep your A/C and P/S with.

Good to know. I'll let my builder know, and we'll see what we can do.

I think price is an important factor...
The biggest "problem" with the Greddy kits is the restrictive downpipe and internal wastegate. How much would you spend to fix this?

i'm personally going to say no... if i spend the $ and effort to change manifolds, then i plan to completely switch turbos to a t3/t04e of my choosing . It would be nice but unless you're actually going to sell greddy kits with that manifold at a slightly higher premium, then i don't know how many people would want to change just that manifold and not change other thigns such as the turbo and downpipe etc.
