Manual Boost Controller gone bad ??!

For some odd reason, my Hallman ES mbc suddenly stopped adjusting. For example, I got a 10 psi WG spring and with the Hallman hooked up, I cannot get more than 9 psi of boost with the Hallman mbc fully close, etc. Do these actually go bad suddenly?

I know its not the WG cos I put a 15 psi spring and it went to 13 (with hallman mbc in line)

I just do not understand how these go bad??? ....

take it apart and see if something got messed up or stuck etc. Theyre just a ball and spring, nothing complicated

I took it apart and nothing was stuck, etc. buuuuut it made sense why my tuner said the spring in it felt very soft for some reason... the spring looked like it had some sort of corrosion on it so I dunno whats the case with it but its certainly done for...

Yep tried cleaning it etc. etc. Hallman emailed me and said it might be the spring needs to be changed to higher tension (???) which they apparently do sell. I am just gonna try a different MBC...
