manifold-turbo bolts keep coming loose!
i've been having this really big problem becuase the studs and nuts holding the manifold to turbo keep coming loose. i had the problem in october so chris (direp972) and i replaced the studs and nuts. it held tight up until just a few weeks ago, and the bastards keep coming loose after i tighten them down. anyone have any ideas? a friend of mine says that i should get a flexpipe welded into the to downpipe to relieve some of the stress on the manifold. is he right? is that what i need to do? any help is appreciated.

Yep Flex pipes relive stress, but even then they may back out. Mine back out several timse. But a flex pipe will help a million. The vibration of the engine has to be relived somewhere.

i usually order 6 inch flex pipes.my friend bulldogg83 was having the same problem(except he already has a flex pipe), so i added some loctite, and he's been good ever since.good luck

A flex pipe would definitly help a ton.. After that, id suggest you have a shop fabricate a bracket that welds to the downpipe(before the flexpipe) and bolts to the bottem of the motor.. This should ensure that all the flex happens where it should; at the flex pipe.
