i custom fabbed my own 3" exhaust using 2 resonators, one 30" and the other a 15" that also acts as the muffler.. problem is, its still pretty loud at cruising speeds and mild to hard accelaration.. normal city driving its not that bad. btw, i've got no CAT either.. is there any muffler out there that i could use to help minimize the noise??

Put a 3" hi-flow cat in. It will knock down the db's alot.

are u running this 3" on a turbo setup or are you still using it n/a? just fyi using a 3" on an n/a setup (like if you are preparing for turbo), it will be very loud.

i have a custom 3" exhaust all the way from the downpipe, 3" flex pipe, no cat, and no muffler...........im thinking of putting a 'stock' looking muffler on - maybe ripping one off a stock eclipse gst at the junkyard or something.........im all into having the power and boost - but i want a 'stock' look..........i even have the little CX badge on the back of my hatchback.....and im pushing near 180 hp now

normally turbo's give a lovely whistle when under boost or cruising..........i like to turn the radio off....JUST to listen to the turbo spool ...i just love it like that.

i only have 2.5 inch all the way back with just a cat. it is not loud at all. i would sugest you just take the resinators off completly and see how is sounds. would not be suprised if it gets quieter.
