mahle pistons...h22
ive read and read what i could...in 07, there was a topic sayin issues were resolved...but a year later and im still looking for more on these...im new to h22 but searching and searching before jumping in...
the mahles claim no sleeving required...people say as long as the p2w clearance is in check...no issues...any new updates? id like to do mahles rather than doing resleeving if it only requires a hone and proper clearance, whats needed for a turbo build in the first place...
any info would be great...gaining all i can for this h22 swap

I've researched these pistons quite a bit and it's getting harder and harder to find horror stories. People love to complain so No News is Good News.

From what has been posted to date, important issues are piston to wall clearance and especially cylinder wall prep. Honing on these cylinders is a different procedure than typical honing. I believe Porche engine rebuilders have some experience with this type of cylinder liner.(FRM?) Mahle probably details the process pretty well in their instructions. Good luck. I hope to try their 'Gold' series pistons myself, in the future.

Have you inspected the block yet?
