Default LSVTEc, dead in the water, HELP!!! What new motor combination now? Expertise needed: Earl, Art

First off I have an LSVTEC consisting of a b18a1 84mm GE sleeved block assembled by Vince, Crower ls rods, Arias 9.2:1 cr on a b17a head ( Eibach dual valve springs, Rev titanuim retainers, Ctr intake camshaft and stock b17a exhaust camshaft). Motor was tuned by Bubba from Trackmasters with Hondata s200 880cc injectors (259whp & 211 lbs of torque). I had the GE block under one year and it recently started to overheat to the point it would do it within 4-5 blocks. I had a leak down test done and numbers were: cylinder 1- 24%, 3-34%, 4-24%, 2-22%. I took it to KG engineering and Kurt pulled the head off and found score marks all along the cylinder walls. He rehoned the cylinders but scores were still left along the ring gap paths. He installed new rings, oem 84mm bored head gasket and milled the head 8 thousands. After all this I drove down the street and still overheated. I turned back to the shop and after trouble shooting he concluded cylinders 2 & 3 weren't sealing. He said he couldn't check if sleeves sank because top of sleeves were copper o-ringed and couldn't use a level to check. ???

On this new build I'm definitely having it Benson sleeved to 84mm. What block combination should I go with? Another b18a/b block or a B18c1 connected to my existing b17a head? Can I use an ls crankshaft on a B18c1? Should I just use the crankshaft the b18c1 comes with? What's more reliable? Did the first one fail due to side loading the cylinder walls due to longer rod ratio of ls rods(LSVTEC failure)? New turbo setup consists of GT35R, full race manifold replica by toyosupr, 3" dp and exhaust. All help is appreciated. Help I've been dead in the water for a month now. I can't take it and I know I'll be down for another month or so. This sucks I can't have Mase tune my **** now!

I don't think the crank has anything to do with it. Many people have success with the LSVTEC's. Keep your head up and I hope you get it all sorted out.

well the gsr crank and ls crank and typer crank are the same journal sizes and will fit in any b series block you just have to use the rods that go with that crank so if you have a ls crank you use ls rods works for me i have a gsr crank and rods in a ls block

Why did you choose that combination? What was the benifit?

Doesn't the B18c1 use a longer rod length than the b18a/b? Is the b18c1 going to be the more reliable route?

Does anyone know if the b18c1 will mate up to a b17a head? Head was tapped for ls vtec. Will the oil line need to be plugged if using the b18c1 bottom? Anyone know which combo will give me the most torque and be the most reliable?
