ls/vtec turbo w/obd-0 (management choices)
i need some opinions on which management choices i have for a turbocharged ls/vtec w/obd-o. i know the new hondata only cater's to obd-1 same w/aem ems. without going to something as drastic as haltech/accel dfi etc... or race specific stand-alone. what else can i use? am i limited to zdyne? i am also thinking maybe sds? anyhelp would be cool, thanks

Hondata works for OBD-0.
PW0 and PR3.
You just use the 'old' stuff, stage 2,3,4. All the same 'features' of the
current s200 just not as polished.

Why not use the Z-dyne ?, I have put it on many cars, supercharged and turbo ( Inc my own) and it has been great. The tunes that come with it are so close you will be up and running in 5 mins!

Re: ls/vtec turbo w/obd-0 (CRVRX)

Hondata needs what the stock ECU needs...
It is not a different ecu it IS your stock ecu with a 'new' chip.
But you can dis-able the O2 sensors and run open loop if you need.

If I were you I'd go full standalone. I'm currently using the DTA unit. Wiring wouldn't be that hard to do and the price is very reasonable. I can get a unit for about $1300 CDN.

You don't HAVE to disable it, right?
What's the advantage?

i'm shooting for the 300-350hp range, i was thinking of the hack, but i was also interested in the smc, but i still have the hurdle of the 2nd o2 sensor and the knock sensor to get over with the pr3 ecu.
