ls/vtec b18b1....Supercharge or turbocharge?
ok so I know I have big dreams right now and not enough money to back them up but I want to get info and opinions from ppl who are already where I want to be.
I just dropped a 95 B18B1 with only 89,000 miles. My original plan was to blueprint, port and hone the head and IM, go forged rods, pistons, ARP rod bolts, ITR cams and then turbo charge her with a T3/04 @ around 10-12 psi.
But then I kinda wanna go Ls/Vtec either with a b16 head. I know JR makes a SC for vtec b16's and 18's but will there SC work with a ls/vtec set up. Is it worth all the cash? Is there other SC ers I can go with? I know you can turbo Ls/vtec because my tuner has a 14 psi set up on his ls/vtec. The other problem is emissions in CA with turbos! No CARB #'s and some smog techs are bitches!
All motor is very tempting but my dream has always involved a boosted ride.
