Default LS turbo teg FINALLY DONE! dyno/video inside

Setup: 1998 integra b18b
Golden eagle sleeves 84mm
wiseco 8.8:1 pistons
eagle rods
mild pnp head with obx cams
cams have stock sprokets
obx intake manifold
sfp race manifold
t3/t04e .63 exhaust/60 trim compressor
full 3" downpipe and exhaust no muffler/resonator
aem ems /w aem 3.5 bar map sensor and wideband

Well, I guess I have to start by saying thanks to EVERYONE that helped me out. This whole project wouldn't have been possible without everyone's help.
Brian Nutter/Jeff Clarkin/Dwayne Snyder from Wiseco
Golden eagle
Itr206 (Pete thanks for all your help brother!!!)
2000civicsi(Couldn't have done it without ya Dameon!!!)
b16hybridsol
sleepin91teg
accordlove
shermanyang
milanoredlst
Frank from Sfp
Everyone who has helped me with this project knows what a pain in the *** this car has been. We ran into almost every problem we could imagine. Eventually with all the help from the people above, we did it! Without further delay here's the dyno chart and small video clips after the dyno. Enjoy!

I felt like with my setup I could have made at least 300whp but I think the stock non-adjustable sprokets are killin me?

Me flicking off the cam install, what a pain.

Obx manifold vs stock

First fill up after the dyno, man turbos eat gas!!

Couple of short vids, right click save as, better videos coming REAL soon!
[Btw, car is tuned at 14spi. I would like opinions why the car isn't making closer to 320whp? Thanks.

nice setup although i believe ur sprockets are making u make no power with adjustable there has been up to a 50 hp increase by adjusting the cam gears

Low compression pistons.. Still decent power nice car. I personally wouldn't of expected a gain from OBX gear over OEM I wouldn't expect OBX to put in any R&D.

stock ls is 9.2:1 this is 8.8:1...not that big of a difference....this is also a 2.0....event hough its a slightly lower comp it should make alittle more power at the same boost. but get a bigger turbo its gonna hurt u...also..stock with stock cams

thanks for the compliments guys. I absolutely love the car, it rips!! The last time I took the car to the strip it went 16.0 so I guess it's a huge improvement. I thought for sure I would've at least made 315whp? Going to get some adjustable cam sprokets and head back to the dyno. Sorry bout vids, we didn't have that much memory in the cards. LIke I said, better vids to come real soon!

HAHA..no way. This should do low 13's easy and with a good driver and slick high 12's. In any case, very nice build and why no more Boost and HP. you should run 18PSI...after that race gas is recommended I believe

I'm sorry to sound picky, but there is a BIG difference in the static compression of 8.8--9.2:1 in terms of off boost response, and it needing more boost to make the same power.

LOL

Yeah, the big difference like how that car boosted hybrid tuned picked up 10 WHP with a full point difference in compression? 4 tenths of a point in compression is dick all, especially considering he's at 84mm bore now.

God, if that much compression made such a huge difference in off boost power and how much boost it takes to make power, why wouldn't we all be running 12:1 compression and 5 pounds of boost?

^^^^^^^^^^

that is correct with an 8.8:1 compression ratio he will require more boost to make the same power as a stock LS.

what was the boost level@ ?????

heh has the room to move to a much larger turbo, and with the exhaust energy from a 2 liter should have no problem using something much larger, and with cooler boost, and lower boost levels make good power. the only thing really LIMITING him is the LS head, work it, or get it ported and do some cam tuning and should see massive gains

nice set up homey

Jeff says an 84mm bore is worth around 20-25 ft-lbs of torque, and I've seen that with my own eyes. You could have that 84mm car at 8:1 compression and it would still make a good amount more power than a stock bore 9.2:1 car would make. 4 tenths of a point in compression is virtually nothing, even comparing straight across the board with bore sizes, nevermind when he has a much larger bore than a stock LS.

Keep it coming guys. I'm sticking with this turbo for a while due to $. I just picked up Lakewood Industries traction bars today and ordered a set of edelbrock cam sprokets. I already have mild head porting so the head will not be worked anymore. Also, the ignition is breaking up in the very top end preventing me from making peak power? Anyone experience that from aftermarket ignition system like my crane cams?

must be nice Glad to see it all finally come together for ya. Now we need to sit down and figure out where the motor needs to be tweaked to get you in the 400s. for a clean quick ls

Did you try regapping the plugs down a little at the dyno?? The turbo its self would be good for 400whp would it not? I don't see any reason to change it out myself.

Plugs are gapped to .025? Also, we have the blue switched 12v wire from the ignition to the ign coil fuse and the 12v from the wideband on the same fuse. Would that cause the breakup due to not enough juice to the ignition box?
