ls turbo crx and supercharged lude
What kind of times are you guys pullin in your supercharged ludes runing 6lbs? I raced one the other night from a 20 punch and he beat me by like a car at around 110 or so. I have never ran my car but I have a hf crx with a ls swap turbo and I should be runin low 13s at least. Do ludes run low 13s high 12s cause It was pretty fast. I would figure a heavy lude @ that low of boost would still be in the 14s, maybe this guy is lying but his car was qiuck. He had jrsc, header, cai, exhaust, clutch and thats about it SUPPOSEDLY . All I can say is suprised the hell out of me. Oh and I was bfgs and he was on street tires too and he still beat me, I know I am not that sorry of a driver too.

I think he ran a low to mid 14 sec. Here is a video of him filming. You can hear the SC whine!

Re: ls turbo crx and supercharged lude (Arturbo)
Well there is a guy in plano with a black supercharged lude, and another black one in frisco, I am talkin about the one in frisco. I dont know about these lude drivers there all shady and keep gadjets all up in there glove boxes. The guy from plano told me his was all stock back in the day, and I seen wires going to his tps and map. I asked him what the were for he said he didnt know. I just laughed.

The best I ever got out of my car was a 14.1@103 with 215/35/18 Nitto NT555's. I was cutting 2.6 60ft times as well. I had JRSC, I/H/E, Clutch/flywheel and quaife. The MPH was there but I just could not get it to hook. Luded1 on PO.com ran a 13.6 on stock street tires though. Even though it was slow in the 1/4, JRSC Lude is very quick from a roll. I would eat all kinds of mid-low 13 sec cars up from a roll and on the highway.

I saw a JRSC lude pulling 13.8's on street tires @ the trac k (I believe it was a 13.8 not sure if he had the stock pully or upgraded).

paul- if its Guy(thats his name), he has a bone stock looking black SC prelude w/ azenis and upgraded 8psi pulley. I believe hes running around 230whp and very high 13's. your car is faster then his, but i know how he drives, he probably jumped early and got a good lead w/ his "instant torque" and then u had a hard time catching him. only way i can see u loosing to that car.

My friend has a supercharged 97 base Prelude with I/H/E and his best times are 9.2 in the 1/8th which equals a mid to low 14 second 1/4. Maybe your turbo CRX just isn't as fast as you think. Take it to the track and find out for sure.

hey man whats up, this is Guy. i talked to you at sonic, yeah you raced the frisco sc lude. he has the tiny exhaust, mine is big, easy way to tell, and i have a spoiler and painted side skirts, otherwise we look the same. haha yeah back in the day, i had a cold air intake, greddy pe exhaust, and a jet vforce (automatic vafc) it didn't work worth crap tho at the time. 14.7@94 was the best time back then, 15.0s in summer
anyways, chris, there is no 8psi pulley, there is 6, 9, 12 custom options. i'm running the 6, 9 is too high on the h22 internals, weak ringlands. and it put down 222
anyways, i've run a few months ago at ennis w/ my hand brakeup, 2.3 60ft 14.0@99 i think. i never get good times at ennis, i cut 2.17 60 fts at sanger close to summer. cold weather is really hard to hook up. it spins through 1st, sometimes through 2nd on slippery tracks w/ tires cold.
credrum is right tho, from a stop its hard to hook but its possible w/ the right clutch tires, from rolls ive race lowmid 13 sec cars and i'm right there with them. i have lots of videos too but yeah, it has a decent top endpull, high13s to low 14s can be expected in the 1/4 for anyone at average

Re: ls turbo crx and supercharged lude (99Prelude_LC)
yeah but that dude pulled paul at the top of third gear. If anything that is where paul shouldve pulled him. We raced paul in my friends low 13, high 12 sec ss and he hung right with us. I just dont see how the guy in the black sc lude could've been pulling everyone top end. (paul- this is ryan with the red hatch by the way)

Re: ls turbo crx and supercharged lude (VTECpimp)
yeah that seems weird, hopefully i'll have my car back by next wed and i'll run him, my aim name is goosterini, msg me sometime.
i've beat several ls1s and pulled them, but a lot of pulled me too, thats weird the ss tied the civic, what does he trap? its possible he has the 9psi pulley and either good fuel managment and/or built bottom end. i did however see his car when i was riding in my friends turbo ex, and he pulled a few carlengths on a gtp w/ i/pulley/pcm, basically my friends setup and my friend ran 13.90@99. he pulled the gtp on the roll what i pull on my friends so i personally would say he only has a 6psi pulley. it didn't look any faster than my car when we were trying to keep up.

Re: ls turbo crx and supercharged lude (99Prelude_LC)
Yeah, from a dead stop I think I would have got him. We keep doing 20 punches but he didnt jump on me, he didnt even pull me till top of 3rd. He keep slowing down and doing 50 punches, he was in 2nd and I was in 3rd so of course he pulled me good. He has bigger exhaust now, cause i couldnt hear my engine at all when we raced. I guess he just has some mean *** topend, I think we should get both the ludes to race next week so we can see who is runnin 6lbs and who isnt.

Re: ls turbo crx and supercharged lude (JdmRiceMonster)
I don't think supercharged preludes are that fast. My friend had a JRSC on his 97 Prelude for 1 week and hated it because it was slow. He said he really didn't feel that big of a difference compared to just a CAI and exhaust. So he sold that and bought a turbo kit.

I raced a guy with a JRSC w/ a 9lb. pulley on his lude. I think he ran a 14.1 right at 100mph.

haha its all good chris
if your friend ran 14.1@100 with 9psi i'd tell him to get his car tuned right. people with 9psi make between 250-300whp, traction is their enemy. and if you can't notice a difference between intake/exhaust and jrsc umm you might want to recheck your install, or you might of been a fool and got somebody else whos not competent to install it. i was sad the first time i ran my car with it, it was barely faster, the next day i found the little brown wire that was disconnected, vtec came on properly and ugh it was like night and day.
