Re: (shortyz)
Hey guys,
I read what you all posted about the SC34 turbo. I was just wondering about the one i got with my RH kit. I specifically ordered a T04E 60 trim compressor with a T3 0.63 a/r turbine from Revhard. I noticed that my turbo has "Precision" cast into the side of the compressor. Does that mean it's an SC44 or is it just a T04E 60 trim.
I tried to see if Precision also sells turbos as T04E 60 trims that are not in the SC line of turbos. I was looking for differences between the T04E 60 trim and the SC44. But are does Precision make two different series of turbos (TO4E 60 and SC44), or are all their hybrids made up of the SC series?
TIA

I meant is a Precision T04E 57 trim = SC34, and a Precision T04E 60 trim = SC44.
I was under the impression that the SC series are upgraded versions of their Precision T04E 57 / 60 trim counterparts. Is that the case, or are they exactly the same thing? I'm not talking about similar or close performance, I'm talking are they physically identical internally and externally?

i think the differences are like the sc series have polished and/or ported housings, but im not 100%

The difference between PT and garrett is that PT cast their own exhaust housings and has different combinations compared to garrett. PT uses all garrett parts except for the exhaust housings. You are paying extra for their housings and labor they put into it.
If your looking between the sc34 and t3/t4 57trim save yourself the money and get a garrett. Their higher flowing turbos are worth the money.

Re: (DRAGLS)
get a t3/t4 60 trim garrett turbo. it will be a fun street/strip car. you will have some room in case you decide that you want more power later.

PTE uses 360 degree thrust bearings STANDARD, while you don't see that on a lot of garrett turbos.
