LS High Compression Tuning Questions W/ Nitrous, 9.2 to 1 OR 10.5 to 1
basically cant decided whether to get forged 9.2 to 1 compression pistons or 10.5 to 1 compression forged pistons for my b18b1. its goin into a EG hatch. looking to spray 100 shot direct port and running hondata s100 w/ nitrous control and walbro fuel pump for fuel managment.
basically ill have the motor built first and i'll be running around with that for maybe 2 or 3 months, maybe less, but defintely before i get the nitrous kit and hondata.
if i do get the 10.5 to 1 pistons do i need to have it tuned since it is higher compression than stock or not since 10.5 is not as crazy as like high 11 or 12 compresison ratios on other set ups.
or would u reccomend jus stayin with the stock compression and getting 9.2 to 1 forged pistons.
this is my daily car, and future plans r jus for NA, spray is for the top end if i need it.
it also has a gsr tranny too.
these r the pistons
9.2 to 1

GO WITH 10.5 comp, anything below 10 is kinda too low for nitrous. it doesnt tune well and just doesnt run as good, plus its slowere OFF the bottle as well.
with a little more compression you might wanna get some kind of fuel management, i dont know what you are using soo.
you might just wanna throw a wideband on it to be safe. but with 10.5 you will also be better off the bottle as far as power goes.
remember nitrous loves compression but hates cast pistons
