LS DRAG3 TURBO VS. GSR DRAG3 TURBO
IM THINKING OF GETTING AN LS ENGINE FOR MY 99 CIVIC (COUPE). AFTER THAT I KNOW I WANT TO DRAG 3 TURBO IT. MY FRIEND HAS A 00 GSR WITH A DRAG 3 TURBO GETTING INSTALLED. HOW MUCH FASTER WILL HE BE IF BOTH OF US HAVE TURBO WITH BUILT BOTTOM BLOCKS. I DUNNO IF I SHOULD JUST SAVE MONEY AND GET AN LS AND USE THAT MONEY TO BUILD IT UP OR SHOULD I JUST BE PATIENT AND SAVE MORE FOR THE B18C1? I WANT TO AT LEAST KEEP UP WITH HIM YU KNO. PLEASE HELP. THANKS.

A gsr with thesame amount of boost as an ls will pull on the ls any day. Make sure u run a lot more boost and have traction in order to beat him, otherwise, top end he will pull on u like no tomorrow.

The LS engine would normally be cheaper than the GSR engine, allowing you to put more money into the buildup of the engine for boost. So you could boost higher with the LS depending on how good of a deal you get on the engine and how much you spend on the buildup. The GSR will be all around faster than the LS with the same mods, just more expensive. Its all about what fits in your budget....just do it right the first time....

run two - three more PSI on that ls and you will pull on the gsr... w/ the CR and torque of that LS you should be able to run say 13 psi w/ good tuning on the stock block while i wouldnt go above 11psi on a GSR
