low comp pistons on stock rods

low comp pistons on stock rods
if i use aftermarket pistons and stock rods will i have to press the piston pins or will the pins that come with the new pistons only need the clips to be used.
the reason i am not doing both is i dont have the $$ for the rods yet byt my rings are shot and i blew up 2 of my pistons.
